Hi, I’m Em.
I’ve always loved food, good food, and as long as I can remember, I’ve been in pursuit of it. My perspective on “good food” began to grow beyond the primordial (taste, texture, experience) into the holistic and enduring aspects in the middle of my experience with severe autoimmune symptoms. During this time I evolved from a “foodie” into a holistic-minded home chef. My changes in diet and lifestyle were simple and powerful, and my symptoms subsided for a time.
Years went by, and life happened, with my lifestyle habits slipping into more conventional practices. My physical and mental health suffered. I knew I needed to reconnect to the roots of my healing, and so I enrolled to become a nutritionist. Going back to school with a focus on nutrition and lifestyle reignited my passion for holistic nutrition and total body wellness, and also renewed my health and vibrancy.
I’ve created Lately Great as a gathering place to continue on my health and wellness path. This is where I’ll be sharing nutrient-dense recipes, nutrition information, clean lifestyle tips, and my favorite practices, products and discoveries.
